Friday 13th – Sunday 15th June
Royal Three Counties Show, Malvern, Worcestershire
This year we are staying in our new site opposite the horse rings, by the Yellow Gate, in an area which will also have the dairy, pygmy and Boer goats and alpacas. Although officially it is a 2 day show with goats being judged on Friday and fleeces on Saturday it is hoped that many exhibitors will stay for the Sunday (Smallholders’ and Rare Breeds Day) when we are hoping to have shearing and spinning demos and also more trade stands.
Our judge this year will be Reg Scott from Australia and it will be a good opportunity to ‘catch up with’ our friend and former breed society stalwart who emigrated from the UK many moons ago.
The Show is open to both CAE accredited and non-accredited goats, which must be registered with BAGS. Schedules will be available from:
- The Three Counties Agricultural Society, The Showground, Malvern, Worcs. WR13 6NW
- Tel: 01684 584900
- Fax: 01684 584910
Pens have to be reserved and full fees paid by 8th April although, as before, detailed entries do not have to be decided until 20th May. As last year, on-line entry will be possible (http://www.threecounties.co.uk/) for the first stage entry. Full fees will be refunded if livestock classes have to be cancelled.
There will be an informal dinner at the Malvern Hills Hotel on Thursday (subject to demand) and we will have a social event on the Friday evening. We will have a small private mess facility/tea area within our marquee and an extended display area, and individual trade stands may be possible within the marquee.
